Chennai, May 13 (UNI) As the police bust two cheating rackets, one involving a MLM company and the other a software firm, complaints at the Chennai City Police Commissionerate have been pouring in like sweat on a hot summer afternoon.

And today was no different as gullible people who were cheated by both the firms continue to make a beeline to the Police Commissioner's Office demanding action against them.

The two crime rackets in question were Questnet, a multi-level gold marketing company which cheated people by promising gold coin for every depositor and Vispro, a software company that had collected huge amount of money from gullible men and women promising employment in blue chip firms.

With these two cases hitting the headlines for the last couple of days, the list of those wanting to lodge complaints had been on the rise with each passing day.

After more than 4,000 people filed complaints against the MLM firm yesterday, over 1,000 people today turned up at the city Police Commissionerate to lodge their complaints against the two firms.

Braving the searing summer heat, people queued up to file their complaints at the special counters opened for the purpose.

It may be recalled police arrested seven executives of Questnet for cheating the public.

In a similar incident, a top executive of Vispro Technologies was arrested based on complaints from 1,500 people who alleged the company had extracted crores of rupees under the pretext of offering a job.

Police have already raided the premises of Questnet and Vispro Technologies and seized vital documents. Special teams have been formed to investigate the case.
