Tripartite MoU inked between Centre, J'khand govt and NABARD

Ranchi, May 13 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda has asserted that the state government will implement all the recommendations of the Vaidyanathan Committee (VC) within the next three years.

Talking to reporters here yesterday after signing a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Centre, state government and the NABARD, Mr Koda said Jharkhand was the 21st signatory that had committed to implement the VC's report.

''The MoU has been signed in a bid to improve the working of 1,332 primary agricultural cooperative socities, including PACS, LAMPS and eight central cooperative banks located across the state,'' Mr Koda added.

NABARD Chariman Umesh Chandra Sarangi, state's cooperative secretary Shiela Kisku Rappaj and Mr Amitabh Verma of the Union Finance Ministry signed the MoU.

Mr Koda also said the cooperative movement would be strengthened by this initiative.
