SatNav launches 8 Indian languages in its GPS
Hyderabad, May 13: SatNav Technologies, one of the pioneers in the GPS products in the country, today introduced voice prompts in eight Indian languages including Hindi, English and Telugu, in its GPS products.
Users can drive vehicles listening to the voice prompted directions in the language of their choice. Besides Hindi, English and Telugu, other languages are Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya and Tamil. Many more languages would be introduced soon, a press release said here. Company CEO and MD, Amit Prasad said, ''we now have our products in eight languages, opening up a huge market hitherto untapped. As a pioneer, we have always led the way in defining new markets and launching new products. We will also be raising up to US Dollar five mn through a private equity placement soon, which will further aid our current objectives.''
The maps are now available in HLG (High Level Graph) mode, which ensures that the performance of SatGuide is much faster than the original version while keeping the memory consumption extremely low, he added.
