Davanagere, Karnataka, May 13 (UNI) Former Union Minister and Lok Janashakti President Ramvilas Paswan today alleged that BJP was hungry for power and has no programme for the poor.

Calling upon the Muslims and Hindus to unite in fighting against communalism, Mr Paswan said that his party is fighting against communal forces and the BJP which is spreading communal seeds.

Alleging that BJP demolished the Babri Maszid because it was built by Baber, Mr Paswan questioned " will BJP demolish Rashtrapathi Bhavan, Supreme Court and Parliament buildings because they were built by Britishers and Taj Mahal and Qutab Minar built by Muslims".

Mr Paswan said that Congress Supremo declined Prime Minister post to serve the poor.

He said that a three-day international Dalit and Minority Convention would be held in Newyork from June Four and about 1000 delegates from India will be attending.

Mr Paswan appealed to the people belonging to OBC not to vote to BJP as the party is only after power.

In Davanagere Congress is supporting Lok Janashakti candidate since the nomination of its candidate was rejected on the ground that the name in the 'B' form was changed. Congress had given the 'B' form in the name of its official candidate Saffiulla, who under threat striked his name and wrote the name of former Minister S S Mallikarjuna, who was denied ticket and was protesting with his supporters. However, the Returning officer, after scrutiny, rejected both the nominations and Congress announced support to Lok Janashakti candidate.
