Patil to visit Nagaland tomorrow
Kohima, May 13 (UNI) Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, who is on a two-day visit to the North Eastern states, will arrive at Dimapur tomorrow on a day's visit to Nagaland.
Official sources said here today that Mr Patil would arrive at Dimapur from Shillong by helicopter tomorrow morning, where he will review the security scenario with top Army and Assam Rifles (AR) officials.
He will attend the Passing Out Parade of the AR jawans at Sukhovi in Dimapur. He will also address the jawans after the parade.
Later, the Minister will proceed to Kohima, where he will meet Nagaland Governor K Sankaranarayanan and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and will have discussion on the prevailing situation in the state, especially the insurgency problems related to the clashes between the rival factions of the National Socalist Council of Nagaland (NSCN).
He will leave for New Delhi tomorrow, the sources said.
