Parinaya Utsavam at Tirumala
Tirumala, May 13 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) today celebrated the Padmavathi Parinaya Utsavam at Narayana Gardens.
On the first day of the three-day event, the processional deity of Lord Malayappaswamy and his consort Padmavathi were taken in a ceremonial procession on 'Chinnasesha Vahanam' from the Sri Venkateswara Temple to the Padmavathi Parinaya Mandapam along with his consort Padmavathi on a palanquin.
The priests performed poojas with vedic hymns to the Lord in the mandapam.
Due to the utsavam, 'Arjitha Sevas' (paid sevas) like Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva have been cancelled during the three-days.
TTD Dharma Prachara Parishad and Annamacharya Project organised cultural programmes at Narayanagiri Gardens from 1800hrs to 2100hrs on every festival day.
