Karunanidhi Govt failed on all fronts: Ramadoss
Chennai, May 13 (UNI) Playing the role of a ''watch dog,'' Pattali Makkal Katchi(PMK), a key DPA ally of the ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu today charged the Karunanidhi government with failing on all fronts.
Asked for his assessment of the DMK government which has completed two years in office, PMK founder-leader Dr S Ramadoss, who at a press conference demanded at least 50 per cent reservation in engineering and medical colleges for students who study in Tamil medium, first parried the question.
When pressed for his reaction again after he demanded that the state government must discuss the reservation of seats for Tamil medium students in professional colleges, and arrest clandestine lottery ticket selling agents under Goondas Act and ban multinationals like Reliance from selling vegetables through their retail outlets as it was harming the farmers, Dr Ramadoss said the performance of the DMK government ''has been a failure.'' ''Thervuperavillai'' ('it has not passed'), he said when asked how many marks the PMK would give for the DMK government after two years in office.
