Shimla, May 13 (UNI)Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said his government will provide clean drinking water to each household besides water for irrigation to strengthen the economy of the rural people.
Addressing election rallies in favour Anurag Thakur, Pukar, Khutdi and Karer in Mewa assembly constituency and Dhaned, Dib,Karod, sujanpur and Kot in Hamirpur assembly constituency, he said his government was commited for the well being of the people of the state.
Mr Dhumal said congress government had provided employment to only 3386 people during its five years tenure, whereas it had promised to provide employmen to atleast one person in each family.
Employment opportunities were being created for unemployed youth and 26,000 posts would be created in government sector alone during the current financial year,he said.
He said his government had increaed the rate of the milk being bought by MILKFED to facilitate the farmers and made a provision of Rs nine crore for this purpose.
The Chief Minister said the government had also decided to pay fifty percent preminum of Krishi Bima Yojna to save farmers from any burden and added that government had also decided to issue land health card to farmers so that farmers could be advised about crops to be cultivated in their lands after proper testing of soil.
The scheme would be effectively implemented in the state and one lakh farmers wouldbe rpovided this card during current financial year, he added.
