Energy shrinks to 3942.01 points

Mumbai, May 13 (UNI) Energy shrank to 3942.01 points, at the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) here today.

Only gold October 08 contract gained by 0.58 per cent at Rs 12,036 per 10 grams. Gold February 09 contract fell by 1.30 per cent at Rs 12,042 per 10 grams. The same trend repeated in silver, as silver November 08 contract gained by 0.30 per cent at Rs 23,931 per kg. Silver September 08 contract fell by 0.54 pc at Rs 23,549 per kg.

All metal contracts made marginal gains. Aluminium June 08 contract was up by 1.69 per cent at Rs 123.15 per kg. Lead June 08 contract improved by 2.93 per cent at Rs 98.25 per kg. Nickel July 08 contract was up by 1.31 per cent at Rs 1,157.50 per kg.

While Zinc May 08 contract firmed up by 5.66 per cent at Rs 96.20 per kg, June 08 contract by 5.37 per cent at Rs 97.20 per kg.

All crude oil contracts dipped, including June 08 contract by 0.94 per cent at Rs 5,173 per barrel and May 08 contract by 0.88 per cent at Rs 5,204 per ebarrel.

Turmeric and mentha oil contract went up, while cardamom, jute and soybean contracts went down, MCX release said.
