Dravid asks Mallya to wait for appropriate time

By Staff

Mohali, May 13 (UNI) Reacting to Bangalore Royal Challengers' owner Vijay Mallya criticisms at the non-performance of the team, skipper Rahul Dravid said he will comment at an appropriate time.

After the nine-wicket loss at the hands of Kings XI Punjab, Dravid said, ''I will speak at an appropriate forum.'' ''I do not want to speak publicly on the (Mallya's) comments.

Selection and performance are two different things and people have to perform so that the team gets on to the winning track,'' he said when queried about Mallya's comments.

The former India captain further blamed his team's poor batting performances in the tournament has brought their downfall.

''It is true that we have not been able to click. It is disappointing. Batting has been an area of concern,'' he said.

He added that many combinations have been tried so far and has made many efforts to get them going but everything has gone in vain.
