'Congress placed Karnataka on world map'
Hubli, May 13: Minister of Science and Technology and senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal today claimed that the party had given a base and the right environment for overall development of Karnataka and people should consider this and vote the party back to power.
Speaking

said
only
Congress

and
contribution
by
the
Congress
was
the
main

success,
he

claimed.
''This
is
the

for
which
people
of
Karnataka
will
have
to
bring
back
Congress
by
ensuring
the
victory
of

The

which
has

the
state's
progress,''
he
alleged.
Lashing out at Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is campaigning in the state for BJP with a promise that the party would provide Karnataka with a government on 'Gujarat model', Mr Sibal said Gujarat was at the bottom in the field of education. Karnataka had three times the number of medical and engineering colleges compared to Gujarat, he said.
''Is there any need for such a government'', he asked, saying the Congress had a clear vision for the state. Only Congress could provide a stable government in Karnataka, he claimed.
