BJP continues its agitation against price hike
Ranchi, May 13 (UNI) Continuing its 12-day agitation on the second consecutive day today, against the Union and state government's failure to control price rise, the Jharkhand unit of BJP gheraoed Chief Minister Madhu Koda's residence here today.
The party workers from Dhanbad and Palamu district first gathered at Morabadi ground and took out a procession, led by state party chief P N Singh.
The procession was stopped before it could reach the chief minister's residence and the agitators were detained by the police.
The party workers were kept at Birsa Munda stadium camp jail and later released.
According to a party release, the agitation would continue till May 23 and similar protest marches would be taken out every day in the state capital by the workers from two districts each during this period.
