Alert sounded in W Bengal following serial blasts in Rajasthan
Kolkata, May 13 (UNI) The West Bengal Government sounded an alert throughout the state following the serial blasts in Rajasthan today as a precautionary measure against any disruptive activities.
The police had been asked to keep strict vigil in the busy market areas, shopping complex, places of worship and thickly populated areas while the administration geared up itself to gather more intelligence reports, official sources said.
The sources said vital installations, like railway bridges and stations, power houses and refineries would also be under surveillance as part of the overall alert.
In Jaipur five powerful bomb blasts rocked different places in the walled city of Jaipur this evening, in which several people were killed.
