Spielberg announces Lincoln, Civil war film plan
Washington, May 12 : Renowned film director Steven Spielberg has revealed that he is planning to make a film about 16th U.S. president Abraham Lincoln and the Civil war.
He has even revealed that the shooting for the film may begin early next year, under the banner of Dreamworks.
The script for the movie is being worked up by "Angels in America" playwright Tony Kushner, who rewrote "Munich" for Spielberg.
Spielberg also has Liam Neeson, who played Oskar Schindler, ready to play Lincoln.
According to Variety magazine, Neeson had consented to play Lincoln in Spielberg's film, and had been waiting for it to begin filming.
The report, however, says that Spielberg will first shoot 'Tintin' in early fall.
