Retired ST employees observe hunger strike
Nashik, May 12 (UNI) Members of the State Transport Retired Employees' Association observed a one-day token hunger strike to press for their various demands here today.
Nearly 200 retired employees of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) observed a token hunger strike in front of the Divisional Office of the MSRTC as part of the organisation's state-wide agitation.
Free travelling passes, passes to widows of employees who have passed away, implementation of the new pension scheme, immediate payment of dues to retired employees and immediate clearance of pending cases of family pensions of 5,000 retired employees, are some of the demands of the agitating retired employees.
District President of the State Transport Retired Employees' Association, Ashok Ranganekar and other office bearers addressed the gathering.
