Repoll began in four booths
Bangalore, May 12 (UNI) Repoll in four assembly constituencies coming under first phase of polling to Karnataka Legislative Assembly, began here today.
Polling on Saturday was suspended in Shivajinagar, Ramanagaram, Malleswaram and Gandhinagar Assembly constituencies following technical snag developed in EVMs. The poll officers could not remove the votes polled in mock drill and hence repolling was ordered.
The repolling were held in Jeevanjyothi School booth in Malleswaram, RBNMS First grade college in Shivajinagar, Gandhi Sevashrama, Gandhi Nagar, and in booth Number 46 in Ramnagaram from where former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy seeking re-election.
Chief Electoral Officer M N Vidyashankar said that repoll was announced through loudspeakers in autorickshaws and people are turning out at the booths to cast their votes.
