Washington, May 12 : Motley Crue rocker Nikki Sixx has been appointed president of independent record company Eleven Seven Records.
Company's founder Allen Kovac said that it was because of Sixx's "rock acumen" that he was chosen to lead the concern.
Sixx is also very happy about his new venture.
"I find it very interesting to take the artist's craft, the art, the music, the image, and get it out there. It comes under the heading of 'record company president', but it's a little more than that," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
Last year, Eleven Seven had released 'The Heroin Diaries', a concept album written and recorded by Nikki Sixx, James Michael and DJ Ashba's band 'Sixx: AM'.
