Network 18 to market Volvo race in India

Kochi, May 12 (UNI) Network 18, a division of Sport 18, an end-to-end sports management solutions provider, has acquired the marketing rights of the Volvo Ocean Race India stopover from December three to 13 here.

Sport 18 has tied up with Screenery Media Pvt Ltd to provide Outdoor marketing for the event, according to a Cochin Port Trust release here today.

The CPT will be responsible for organising the stopover in collaboration with the Kerala Tourism Department.

The 2008-09 event will be the 10th running of this ocean marathon. Starting from Alicante in Spain on October four, it will for the first time, stopping over in ports in Asia.
