New Delhi, May 12 (UNI) The inter-ministerial board of approval(BoA) will meet on May 16 to take up for consideration 13 proposals of special economic zones(SEZs).
Of these as many as 9 project proposals relate to Andhra Pradesh, three to Haryana and one to Karnataka, official sources said.
Of the Andhra Pradesh proposals for tax-free enclaves, seven are by Deccan Infrastructure and Land Holdings Ltd, while the remaining two have been put up by the state entities.
Deccan Infrastucture propose to set up an agriculture and livestock products and related services SEZ, two free trade warehousing zones(FTWZs), and one each in gems and jewellary, IT and ITeS, biotechnology and textile and appararel, garmets and fashion accessories and in phram products and medical devices.
The state-owned entities have proposed to set up SEZs in IT/ITeS sector in Andhra Pradesh.
Primrose Buildworth Pvt Ltd and Progressive Buildstate Pvt Ltd have sought approval for setting up an electronic hardware, including IT/ITeS, in Nuh and Gurgaon districts respectively, whileAirmid Developers propose to establish an IT/ITeS enclave, also in Gurgaon district of Haryana.
Yet another proposal for an IT/ITeS project that will come up for approral before the board is from Milestone Buildcon Pvt Ltd which is to built at Chokkanahalli near Bangalore, the sources added.
