Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari advises Raj Thackeray
Gorakhpur, May 12 (UNI) Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari has advised Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Tackeray to stop pervading 'kshetravaad' (regionalism) for his political motives.
Talking to UNI, the actor said ''politics of hatred does not sustain for long...people hailing from eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are feared over the recent attacks on them by the MNS.'' Appealing north Indians to be calm and patient, Manoj asked Mr Thackeray to stop spreading hatred among people of the states for political benefits.
''If the MNS chief will keep on following the same attitude, he will tarnish his image as a politician,'' the Bhojpuri singer, who is also called 'Poorvanchal's Big B', noted.
He further expressed concern on the mum maintained by the ruling Congress government in Maharashtra over the issue.
The actor was here last night at a cultural programme organised by the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
