Chennai, May 11 (UNI) Police today arrested three employees, including a woman of a city-based IT company for their alleged by involvement in swindling crores of rupees from engineering students promising good placement and attractive remuneration.
The fake IT company 'Vispro Technologies,' was allegedly involved in giving advertisements in newspapers promising placements and attractive remuneration, and collecting huge amount of money as deposits from students, police said.
The arrested were Charles (36), Computer Education Manager, Ganesh (52), Project Manager, and Kiran Agarwal, a computer supplier to the company. Police also seized various documents from their possesion.
The company was said to be involved in touch-screen project works.
However, the people, who had paid money to the company, alleged that no such project works were undertaken and those who had been employed by the company were not given any specific work or salary for the last six months, police added.
