Pakistan marines capture two Indian boats with 11 crew members
Ahmedabad, May 11 (UNI) Pakistani marines have captured 11 Indian fishermen and seized two boats when they were fishing in the Arabian sea.
The Pakistani marine security agency had alleged that the Indian fishing boats had strayed into the Pakistani waters for fishing and hence, they seized the boats and arrested the crew members yesterday.
However, sources in the Gujarat Fishermen Association have denied the Pakistan allegation stating that these fishermen were operating within the Indian waters.
The boats are owned by one Ramji Mepa.
Nearly 500 Indian fishermen are languishing in jails of Pakistan for allegedly straying into the waters of the neighbouring country while fishing.
