Orai remains hottest in UP
Lucknow, May 11 (UNI) Lucknow experienced a little respite from hot weather conditions in Uttar Pradesh after rains lashed isolated parts of the state last week, even as mercury touched 44.2 degrees Celsius in Orai.
According to the Met Department, temperature remained appreciably low in Agra, Meerut, Bareilly and Jhansi divisions.
In the last 24 hours, Orai remained the hottest with 44.2 degrees, whereas Gorakhpur recorded 39.2 degrees, Varanasi 42.7 degrees, Allahabad 41.7 degrees, Kanpur 39.8 degrees, Agra 39.4 degrees, Bareilly 37.7 degrees, Moradabad and Meerut at 36 degrees each and Lucknow and Jhansi at 39 degrees each.
Weathermen forecast dry weather but thunderstorm with spells of shower in Meerut, Bareilly and Moradabad divisions in the next 24 hours.
