Mother, son killed over minor dispute

Jaunpur, May 11 (UNI) Two people, including a woman, were killed and as many sustained injuries over a minor dispute in Mungara Badshahpur area here today.

The incident occurred in Gauraiyadih village, where Chintapani Tiwari and his sons were engaged in erecting a wall near a hand pump, when Shyam Lal Saroj and Kailash objected over the same, Superintendent of Police Chandra Prakash said.

The issue further soared and the group resorted to fighting.

Shyam Lal's and Kailash's wives beat to death Chintamani's wife Lalti Devi (55), who succumbed on the spot.

Later, her sons Pankaj, Dhiraj and neeraj were brutally assaulted by the furious group.

The Trio was admitted to hospital, where Pankaj succumbed, however, the other two were reported to be critical.

Police had arrested Shyam Lal and Kailash.

Cultural Minister for state Subhash Pandey also reached the spot.
