Washington, May 11 : American singers Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey, who made their first public appearance as newlyweds on May 08, had a very dazzling look about them, their jewellery included.
Carey was spotted wearing an impressive pink diamond sparkler from Jacob and Co. jewellers, at the TIME magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World" gala.
The ring is said to be valued at 2.5 million dollars and is 17 carats, with the centre stone alone being 10 carats and just a little smaller than a dime.
It has an emerald-cut fancy light pink centre stone surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds, flanked by two half-moon diamonds.
"I wanted to do something extremely special, something that Mariah would really appreciate," People quoted Cannon as saying.
"We got the pinkest stone we could find, surrounded by other diamonds," he said.
Carey definitely approves of the ring and is very excited about it.
"It's so clear, you can see my finger through it," she said.
According to Jacob Arabo of Jacob and Co., Cannon "was very involved," in picking the ring.
"The way he came into the store, I knew this was very serious," Arabo told People.
"He said, 'Jacob, I'm in love. This is what I want to do'," he said.
