Maoist ultras torch machinery of construction agency in Aurangabad
Aurangabad, May 11 (UNI) About 100 armed Maoist ultras attacked the base camp of a private construction agency and torched vehicles and machinery worth more than Rs one crore at Bhairopur village under Mufassil police station in the district.
Police said here today the Maiosts attacked the base camp of A K Builders and Transporters last night and took all its employees into their custody before setting ablaze the vehicles and machinery of the agency.
Later, the activists released all the employees and left the spot, raising slogans in favour of their organisation.
Superintendent of Police Ganesh Kumar said raids were being carried out at possible hideouts to nab the ultras.
Earlier, the insurgents had also engineered similar attacks on the base camp of another construction agency and damaged all its machinery at Kutumba village in the district about a month back.
