FIR against 100 people for lynching robbers

Buxar, May 11: An FIR was lodged against 100 unidentified people yesterday for lynching four robbers, who tried to flee after robbing Chausa branch of State Bank of India(SBI) under Mufassil police station area in the district on Friday.

Police today said that the four dacoits were lynched by an irate mob, when they tried to escape after looting at least Rs 4.60 lakh in cash The mob also thrashed other dacoits involved in the robbery, two of them were arrested and admitted to local hospital.

Meanwhile, the arrested dacoits had confessed their crime and has even admitted to having looted other banks and rail offices among their other feats.

Following the tip-off of one of their informants, police managed to recover at least Rs 66,000 out of the total amount looted from the Bank.
