Chandrapur hottest in Mah with max temp of 44.8 degrees
Nagpur, May 11 (UNI) Heat wave conditions continued to persist today in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, with Chandrapur recording a maximum temperature of 44.8 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest place in the state.
Nagpur registered a maximum temperature of 42.8 degrees, followed by Akola with 40.3 degrees, Wardha 37.8 degrees and Amravati with 34.5 degrees, according to official sources.
In the North Maharashtra district of Jalgaon, the scorching heat wave continued unabated, with Jalgaon city recording a maximum temperature of 40.3 degrees.
The death toll due to sun strokes stood static at four in the district.
