19 Infantry division celebrates diamond jubilee in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 11 (UNI) One of the oldest and most decorated Signals regiments of the Indian Army, the 19 Infantry Divisional Signal Regiment (Dagger-Signals) celebrated its Diamond Jubilee.

The regiment which has a motto '' every post to every dost was raised on May 9 in 1948, a defence ministry spokesman said today.

Information Warriors of the regiment have faced combat in every military operation undertaken till date and have acquitted themselves with honour and glory, in all of them.

Major General SA Hasnain, General Officer Commanding of Dagger Division unveiled the first day cover and gave valuable guidance to the unit.

Senior officers, most of them being the ex Commanding Officers of the regiment, also graced the occasion to share their nostalgia and boost the morale of Dagger Signallers, he said.
