Wheat to be distributed under Annapoorna Yojana: Chouhan
Guna, MP, May 10 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said wheat purchased at support price would be distributed to poor through 'Annapoorna Yojana' and would not be allowed to go out of the state.
Mr Chouhan, while addressing tribal and women conference at Aaraun in this district, said the government had purchased 12 lakh metric tonne at Rs 1,100 per quintal in the state.
On hearing complaints by frost-affected peasants for less compensation, he directed officials to re-survey crops and provide compensation at the rate of Rs 7,500 per hectare.
Mr Chouhan inaugurated tribal matric hostel in Aaraun built at a cost of Rs 27.80 lakh. He laid foundation of government higher secondary school building. Besides, he announced providing Rs 50 lakh for renovating community health centre and other development works.
