UP to have 2 new Development authorities
Lucknow, May 10 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government today gave its nod on the formation of Azamgarh and Baghpat-Badhot-Khekra Development Authorities.
A decision to this effect was taken in a state cabinet meet chaired by Chief Minister Mayawati here.
As per the decision, the Azamgarh Development Authority would include Azamgarh Nagar Palika Parishad and 159 revenue villages.
Similarly, Baghpat Nagar Palika Parishad, Badhot Nagar Palika Parishad, Khekra Nagar Panchayat, Agarwal Mandi Tatiri Nagar Panchayat and 69 villages would fall under the new Baghpat-Badhot-Khekra Development Authority.
Respective Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates would be the president and vice-president of the newly set up authorities.
