Three die, 24 injured in road accident

Jehanabad, May 10: At least three people were killed and 24 injured in a road accident at Gorapur in this south Bihar district today.

Sources said the incident occurred when a crowded minibus, coming from Arwal, fell into a roadside ditch and overturned, killing three passengers, including a child, on the spot and injuring 24 others.

The bus cleaner was also among the deceased, they said.

Soon the local people gathered on the spot and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, where the condition of at least seven was stated to be critical.

Later, the police seized the bus, but the driver fled had immediately after the accident.
