Lalu Yadav to tell Railways' success story in Singapore, Malaysia

New Delhi, May 10 : Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav is all set to rewrite his Railways' success story, but this it would be in Singapore and Malaysia.

Prasad will begin his week-long visit to Singapore and Malaysia tomorrow, where he will address management students and tell them his mantra that helped in generating profit in a huge public sector undertaking like the Railways.

The Indian Railways made a record profit of Rs 25,000 crores last year. This is for the first time when Prasad will speak on railways' turnaround story outside India.

Earlier, he had an interaction with students of top business schools in India. In Singapore, he would interact with 350 MBA students of the globally reputed Institute d'Administration des Affairs (INSEAD) Asia campus on Monday.

Prasad's visit to INSEAD is in response to an invitation from its global dean Frank Brown and Asia campus head Narayan Pant. They had come to India last year for an interaction with Prasad.

Railways have an agreement with INSEAD for providing training to its senior officials on customer strategies.

Prasad is also scheduled to attend a presentation on the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit System.

He will be accompanied by senior Railway officials including Railway Board Member (Staff) S S Khurana. S K Vij, Member (Engineer), will be joining the Minister in Malaysia on May 16.
