Kochi, May 10(UNI) Kerala police tonight conducted a raid on the flat of controversial Swami Amritananthachaithanya alias Santhosh Madhavan, against whom an Interpol lookout notice had been issued in a fraud case in Dubai.
Senior police officials told UNI that a ''routine search'' had been carried out at the swami's flat at Kadvanthara here following several allegations against him.
Clarifying that the search had nothing to do with the Interpol notice, the officials said it was conducted in the light of several allegations made against the Swami.
However, the officials declined to confirm, if any incriminating material was seized during the raid.
Meanwhile, Keralite Serafin Edwin, who has accused the Swami of cheating her of 400,000 Dirhams, today repeated the allegation in interviews to several local channels here.
She said Santosh Madhavan and Swami Amritananthachaithanya were the same person and accused the Swami of taking the money from her in Dubai for a hotel project in Kerala.
Police had earlier raided the 'Shantitheeram' guest house, owned by the Swami, but had said that no incriminating documents had been found.
