ICC's CFO and Lawyer resign

Dubai, May 10 (UNI) The ICC's Chief Financial Officer Faisal Hasnain and in-house lawyer Urvasi Naidoo have resigned from the world cricket's apex body.

''Urvasi has got an offer from the Women's Netball Federation and will be based in Manchester,'' an ICC spokesperson told Cricinfo. ''We congratulate her on the great offer and wish her all the best in her future. The CFO has also taken a decision and we respect that.'' The duo will continue till the ICC's annual meetings to be held here from June 29 to July 4 when the new guard takes over under Haroon Lorgat, the new CEO.

Hasnain, who has had differences over a number of issues with ICC president Ray Mali and some board members, is believed to have resgined on May 8 a week after chief executive Malcolm Speed went on paid leave.

The spokesperson, however, asserted that there was no connection between the two incidents.
