Govt to follow saturation concept in all programmes:CM
Hyderabad, May 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said his government was following the concept of saturation in taking up and implementing welfare and development schemes.
Interacting with officials at the conclusion of Prajapatham 2008 at his camp office here, he said the government wanted to ensure that no eligible person was denied benefits whether it was construction of INDIRAMMA houses, grant of pensions, issuance of ration cards, grant of scholarships or tuition fee reimbursement for weaker sections and minorities.
Expressing satisfaction over the successful conduct of the programme launched on April ten, he thanked all Ministers, MPs, MLAs and officials for making the programme a success.
In all, 26,962 village panchayats/wards were scheduled for coverage during this year's Prajapatham. However, because of the notification issued on April 16 for by-elections to 18 Legislative Assembly and four Parliamentary constituencies spread over ten districts, the programme was kept in abeyance in 9,115 village panchayat/wards till the elections were over, an official press release here said.
The Chief Minister appreciated Special Chief Secretary (Planning) A K Goyal and officials of the Planning Department for conducting the programme in an orderly and successful manner.
