Bhubaneswar, May 10 (UNI) A four-member Independent Tribunal will visit Kandhamal district, affected by a communal riot four months back to see the relief, reconstruction and security situation.
Tribunal convenror John Dayal said they will assemble in Bhubaneswar on May 12 and visit major riot hit areas including Brahamanigaon.
The victims will depose before the tribunal from May 13 to 15 in a public hearing scheduled to be held at Balliguda.
They will submit a preliminary report by May 17.
Copies of the findings would be sent to the President, Prime Minister, state governor, chief minister, and different rights organisations.
The Tribunal will be headed by Justice Hospet Suresh, a former judge of the High Court.
The other members of the team are Justice Kolse Patil, also former high court judge, R B Sreekumar, a retired DGP of Gujarat and Ms Teesta Setalvad, human right activist.
