12 killed as truck turns turtle in Guj
Ahmedabad, May 10 (UNI) Twelve labourers were killed and four others injured when a truck turned turtle near Devapura village in Anand district early today.
Police said the truck was coming from Nandurbar in Maharashtra and was bound for Saurashtra. It was carrying iron material for delivery at Saurashtra.
The driver lost control over the vehicle following which it turned turtle. Twelve labourers were killed on the spot and four others injured, police said.
Ten of the deceased have been identified as Amashiya Zalubhai Paravi (28), Kohla Zalubhai Parvi (22), Shivaliya Purula (20), Ramu Partan (32), Partanbhai (50), Varmiya Valji (42), Bhikha Dharma (40), Laxman Jiva (35), Jeminiya Maniyabhai (32) and Dilip Parishram (48). Two others are yet to be identified.
All victims hailed from Rajvir village in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra, police said.
