Jaipur, May 9 (UNI) Unseasonal rains, accompanied with hailstorm at some places,lashed several places in Rajasthan for the fourth successive day.
According to reports reaching at the state headquarters, hail storm was reported at some places in Jaipur, Jhalawar, Churu and Bhilwara districts during the past 24 hours whereas, light to moderate rains occurred at a number of places.
The Meteorology Department recorded 24MM rains in Jodhpur, 22MM in Ajmer, 7MM in Jaipur and Chittorgarh and 6MM in Kota and Jaisalmer. Rains were also reported from Churu, Jalore, Udaipur and Bikaner.
The unseasonal rains and hail storm are attributed to upper air cyclonic circulation presently effective over Northern Rajasthan and adjoining areas and likely to persist for next 24 hours.
The unexpected change in weather has brought down maximum temperatures appreciably in the state. Bikaner(38.4 Degree Celsius) recorded the highest maximum temperature this afternoon followed by Jaipur (37.2 Degree Celsius) and Ajmer and Jodhpur (35 Degree Celsius).
