The super slinger Tait, attended the pre-West Indies tour camp at Brisbane's Allan Border Field earlier this week where his fitness was assessed by Redbacks physio John Porter and national team medicos. Tait said last month, explaining a ''massive desire'' to resume his international career, ''I am the the only South Australian with a contract and have a point to prove.'' Australian chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch believes Tait will re-emerge as a force in the international arena.

''It might work in his favour. The reality is, he has had some injury concerns. He's had the opportunity to have a break from cricket,'' Hilditch said.

''We have had lengthy discussions with Shaun and are confident it will be a very good future in the next 12 months or so.'' Tait's physio John Porter said the 25-years-old bowler ''was in a good spot'' and ready to resume bowling.
