Kolkata, May 8 (UNI) After tasting defeat in four matches on a trot, Kolkata Knight Riders stormed back into the reckoning, taming Royal Challengers of Bangalore by five runs in a nail-biting finish in the rain-curtailed DLF-IPL T20 league match at the Eden Gardens here tonight.
In the inaugural IPL match in Bangalore, Riders vanquished Royal challengeras by 140 runs.
With this victory, Riders earned six points from seven matches - three win and four loss, while Royal Challengers stood at four points from eight matches - two win and six loss.
While Riders skipper Sourav Ganguly won Man of the match award for his splendid bowling performance scalping one wicket in three overs conceding just seven runs, David Hussey of the host team won most hit sixes award.
