Bangalore, May 9: Janata Dal (S), if elected to power, will review all the decisions taken by the Karnataka Governor and his advisors during President's rule in the state and also punish those officials who were responsible, party's spokesperson Danish Ali said today. Addressing newspersons here, Mr Ali came down heavily on Governor and his advisors for taking decision to hand over land to Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE) which is executing Bangalore-Mysore corridor road works.

Charging that the Governor was acting at the behest of Congress party and its leaders, Mr Ali said that the decision of the Governor to handover the controversial land to NICE was against the interests of the state and the people and also in violation of election code. "The Government instead of taking a unilateral decision favouring NICE project of Ashok Kheny could have waited till installation of popular government for which the election process was already on." Charging that NICE company managing Director Ashok Kheny, who is nursing a grievance against JD(S) and its leaders was campaigning in favour of Congress and BJP candidates in the elections, Mr Ali feared that the future governments formed either by Congress or BJP will come under the diktat of Mr Kheny.

Expressing strong confidence that people will bring JD(S) back to power, Mr Ali said that Karnataka can prosper only under Mr Kumaraswamy and JD(S) as people have seen both Congress and BJP amd suffered from their misrule. Both Congress and BJP want to practice bipolar polity in the country but people will not endorse their designs. "It is because of presence of parties like JD(S) the communal forces have been kept in bay" Mr Ali added.
