Indian youth held for Jyothirmayi murder in UK
London, May 9: The West Midlands Police today said a 24-year-old man had been arrested and charged with the murder of Indian student Samrajyo Jyothirmayi Vempala and would appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday.
Samrajyo (23), an Indian national was pursuing a Master of Public Health course at the University of Wolverhampton. She was murdered at her residence on Montague Road, in Handsworth, Birmingham. A post-mortem examination has established that she died as a result of head injuries. Only the surname of the defendant has been disclosed as Nalloori, an Indian national.
