Couple consumes poison, girl dies

Mirzapur, May 9 (UNI) A girl today committed suicide, while her lover was fighting for life in Jigna area here.

The girl, student of standard XI and resident of Chitvali village, consumed poison along with her lover Dharmendra.

While, the girl died on the spot, Dharmendra was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, police said.

Marriage disapproval by parents seemed to be the reason behind their extreme step, police added.
