New Delhi, May 8: Leading long haul airline Virgin Atlantic has renewed its contract with country's leading software exporter Tata Consultancy Services Ltd for managed services.

The contract, which has been renewed for four years until 2011, will see TCS manage Virgin Atlantic's global IT systems, infrastructure and application support services, a company statement said. Financial details of the deal were not divulged. The travel and transportation sector is emerging as a key vertical for TCS, generating about four per cent of the company's total 5.7 billion dollar revenue in FY08, it added.

TCS also manages Virgin Atlantic's relationships with other third party IT vendors to ensure a cohesive approach to the airline's IT ecosystem.

TCS had launched a dedicated Travel and Hospitality Innovation Lab last year to help airlines.
