New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) India is changing in every manner and good governance is a very challenging job that requires the ability to understand the complexities of the problems, Vice President Hamid Ansari told IAS probationers today.
Addressing the 90th Officer Trainees of the IAS of the 2007 batch, organised by Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration, Mussoorie, he reminded them of their responsibilities.
The Vice President emphasised on the roles and challenges of the Indian Administrative Services (IAS).
He told the IAS probationers that being part of an integrated system, they would be successful in providing good governance to the country with their intellectual capacity.
Mr Ansari also told them that as they were going to face onerous responsibilities, success depended on their frame of mind.
Congratulating them, he said they were the elite of the country and being in the service was a merit in one sense.
The Vice President called upon them to think over their point of reference and said that the question of integrity was always important.
