Jubilant Organosys acquires Speciality Molecules
New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) Country's largest customs research and manufacturing firm Jubilant Organosys today said it has acquired Speciality Molecules Pvt Ltd (SMPL) for Rs 19.95 crore.
The purchase consideration to acquire 100 per cent stake for Rs19.95 crore on a debt-free, cash-free basis, a comapny statement said.
SMPL is engaged in business of developing, manufacturing and selling of speciality intermediates which include primarily pyridine derivatives that are used in pharmaceuticals and other life sciences industry.
''The acquisition of SMPL is yet another step in strengthening our global leader position in pyridine derivatives,'' Jubilant Organosys CMD Shyam S Bhartiya said.
This acquisition will further strengthen Jubilant's Halogenation capabilities as we plan to sell and also use this speciality intermediates captively for various life science derivatives which will help us to offer products based on a common platform at very competitive prices to our global customers who are sector leaders in the pharma and agrochemical business, he added.
