Hindustan Motors Q4 net dips 79.36 pc

New Delhi, May 8: Hindustan Motors Ltd (HML) today said its net has dipped 79.36 per cent to Rs 10.95 crore during the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 as against Rs 53.07 crore in the corresponding period last year. Total income, however, shot up 23.06 per cent to Rs 194.22 crore during Q4 FY08 from 157.82 crore in the same period a year ago, a company statement said.

The firm recorded 131.87 per cent increase in net profit during FY08 at Rs 30.84 crore from Rs 13.30 crore a year ago. Total income for HML stood at Rs 677.89 crore during the year ended March 2008 from Rs 635.34 crore a year ago, a hike of 6.69 per cent. The Group's net profit increased 28.58 per cent to Rs 30.86 crore during Q4 FY08 from Rs 24 crore during the same quarter a year ago.

The Group's income also increased 6.81 per cent to Rs 681.55 crore during FY08 as against Rs 638.07 crore a year earlier.
