Govt in touch with UK authorities: AP CM
Hyderabad, May 8 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the government was in touch with the Indian High Commission in London and it would take at least seven days to hand over the body of V Jyothirmayi (23) to the family members.
Talking to newspersons here, the Chief Minister said the UK police had rigid rules. They would conduct postmortem two times and after completion of a series of inquests, the body would be handed over to the family members, he said.
Jyothirmayi, hailed from Vijayawada, was pursuing a Master of Public Health course at the University of Wolverhampton. She was found dead with injuries at her residence in Handsworth, Birmingham, in the United Kingdom.
