Cong MLA seeks privilege motion against Adv General
Jaipur, May 8 (UNI) Congress MLA Sanyam Lodha has demanded privilege motion against the Advocate General for his ''failure'' in submitting opinion on appointments to non-MLAs and non-Ministers as in charge in the district administrative committees.
Mr Lodha submitted a proposal under the 162 of the Rajasthan Assembly Business and Procedure Rules before Speaker Sumitra Singh requesting her to forward his proposal to the House Privilege Committee.
The Speaker had referred to the Advocate General the issue of appointments to politicians other than MLAs and Ministers as in charge for heading the district administrative committees on March 26. She had asked the Advocate General to submit his opinion within a week.
The Opposition Congress had protested against such appointments and disrupted proceedings in the House for two days.
However, the Advocate General has not so far submitted his opinion on the issue, Mr Lodha said.
